We believe that health care chould be about choices. For that reason, we offer 2 types of treatment programs here at Osborne Chiropractic. PATCH CARE- Consists of Chiropractic adjustments with some general care over a 3-4 week period designed to provide relief of symptoms and improve the flexibility and mobility of your spinal joints. Patch care does not provide long-standing correction to spinal problems and posture, however, it is often a viable alternative to drugs and at times even surgery for pain relief related to structural, postural or extremity joint problems. FIX CARE- is a spinal rehabilitative program designed to improve or correct underlying spinal structural problems and abnormal posture. This is a more comprehensive approach, and often results in long-term benefits. Comparative x-rays are taken to objectively measure patient progress toward normal, therefore, the patient always knows when they are fixed, or as near normal as possible. STAGES OF FIX CARE Stage 1- Adjustment
Stage 2- Traction
Stage 3- Exercise
Stage 4- Follow up x- rays after weeks of care will determine the level of structural improvement of spinal range of motion. Dr. Osborne practices Chiropractic Biophysics* (CBP). CBP* is the most researched named chiropractic technique in clinical practic today. This is true based on peer-reviewed index Medicus publications on all aspects of CBP* technique. CBP* technique procedures, protocols, and treatment guidelines have appeared in the following scientific journals: Spine, Journal of Spinal Disorders and Technique, Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, European Spine Journal Archives of Pysical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Journal of Orthopedic Research.Relief Care
As a new patient, you obviously have pain or concerns that need to be addressed promptly. At first you may need to visit our office two or three times weekly, this will allow for concentrated treatments to reduce or eliminate the symptoms that are occurring. This phase of chiropractic care is considered the Relief Care Phase.
Many people go about their daily lives pain-free and without any symptoms believing they are healthy, the truth is sometimes pain alone is not the indicator that something is wrong. Many health conditions have no symptoms whatsoever but can be very serious conditions, such as, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.
Spinal problems are one of the few conditions that will generally be accompanied with pain as a first symptom, and can be reduced or eliminated through chiropractic treatments. Corrective Care
After receiving Relief Care and eliminating or reducing your symptoms, some may believe there is no need for further treatments, actually the Corrective Care phase is a very important step needed to restore, heal, and prevent symptoms from recurring. Your condition will determine the amount of treatments needed to complete the healing process. To help improve and accelerate the healing process you can perform certain exercises at the clinic, or in the comfort of your own home.
This phase could take a few months or more depending on the seriousness of your condition. Soreness or flare-ups may occur and are completely normal.
Wellness Care
Now that you are healed and feel better than ever, routine chiropractic care will help to ensure that this feeling will never fade away. A program including regular adjustments, exercise, and a healthy diet will help ensure the health of your musculoskeletal system.
The Wellness Care phase will give you the benefit of living life to the fullest.
